Young Professionals Promoting the Future

In addition to other tasks and projects aimed at fostering the social skills of apprentices, DE-VAU-GE, in cooperation with the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK), also offers training to become a Training Ambassador. In this program, apprentices learn how to represent their company and their apprenticeship profession. They visit schools to inspire young people to consider vocational training and take an interest in both the profession and the company.

This year, apprentices Ms. Catarina Schurig and Mr. Francesco Stagliano are concluding their time as training ambassadors, as their apprenticeships are coming to an end. On May 8, 2025, they were honored by the IHK during a beautiful ceremony at the Castanea Forum. But two new apprentices are already preparing to take over this important role.

During their numerous school visits, Catarina and Francesco shared their unique personal journeys and the decisions that led them to choose their apprenticeships. They inspired students by talking about the opportunities at DE-VAU-GE—not only to learn job-specific skills, but also to grow personally, to meet fellow apprentices who often become lifelong friends and companions, and to find both joy and success in their work.

The training ambassadors strengthen their presentation skills and learn how to respond to challenging questions in front of a live audience. They serve as role models and help students find their own paths toward the future — a truly honorable and rewarding responsibility.
